Delicious Chocolate Ice Cream

What’s better than a sunny day with ice cream, chocolate ice cream? Hardly anything ;). Of course you can buy some in a shop, but it is lots of fun (and very yummy) to make it yourself. Therefore, below a recipe for delicious chocolate ice cream.


  • 300 ml of whole milk
  • 50 grams of dark brown sugar
  • 30 grams of sifted cacao powder
  • 100 grams of pure chocolate, broken to pieces
  • 150 ml of whipping cream
  • fresh mint to garnish

Method of Preparation

Put the milk and the sugar in a saucepan and bring it to the boiling point. Put the cacao powder in it and stir well. Then add the pieces of chocolate, but take the saucepan off the fire and stir till the chocolate is completely melted. Give it 20 minutes to cool down.

Beat the wipping cream and mix it with the chocolate mixture till it is thoroughly mingled. Then put it in a bowl (that is able to stand temperatures below zero) and put the bowl in the freezer. Leave the ice cream in the freezer for 4 hours and stir it up every hour.

You can make this recipe approximately 2 weeks in advance. Take it 20 minutes before consumption out of the freezer, so it will get a little bit soft. Then you can serve it with the mint, but of course you can also give it another twist.
